What you need to know
Our Respite Care Providers give care under the direction and guidelines outlined by caregivers (parents, etc.) and professionals by providing:
- Personal care in the caregiver’s home
- Access to community recreational activities and events
- Transportation to activities as needed
- Instruction in self-help skills
- Implementation of behavior management plans used in the home
- Assistance with infant stimulation program in the home
- Supervision with appropriate toys and activities
Our Respite Care Providers have the following qualifications:
- The ability to read, write, add, and subtract minimally at a tenth-grade level
- Computer Skills and Smart Phone Access
- Caring aptitude with related training and/or experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Cleared TB test
- Cleared Background Check via Live Scan
- Department of Motor Vehicles Clearance
- Proof of Automobile Insurance
- Passed a Vehicle Safety Inspection
